Jr. Web Coordinator
OPEN Position for a Web Coordinator, WFH Ottawa Area -
Reliability clearance a must and candidates must be fluent in either official languages, although English is the primary language in use on this assignment.
The Coordinator, aspiring developer, may help with schedules and assist developers to:
·Develop, fix and publish web pages and digital assets (e.g. images, graphs, transcripts, etc.) within multiple technical environments such as Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and PHP, in both official languages for the following websites:
·Assess web sites or web content against Government of Canada Web Standards (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/index-eng.aspx)or other relevant Government of Canada policies and standards such as the Standard on Web Accessibility, WCAG 2.0, Canada.ca Content and Information Architecture Specification, to address any gaps and ensure compliance.
·Create and conduct quality assurance (QA) checks and perform maintenance tasks on websites, pages, and other interactive web components using current web development techniques, tools and languages (e.g. Dreamweaver, XHTML, HTML 5, PHP, CSS, Drupal,W3C, validators, WET, etc.).
·Collaborate with Digital Communications Advisors to ensure web content is published in a timely manner, and in the format that aligns with the Canada.ca Content and Information Architecture Specification, as well as the Web Experience Toolkit (WET).
·Participate and contribute in meetings or discussions related to the Internet/Intranet as required.
Specifications and Standards. All web sites or web content must be assessed against Government of Canada Web Standards or other relevant Government of Canada policies and standards such as the Standard on Web Accessibility, WCAG 2.0, Canada.ca Content and Information Architecture Specification, to address any gaps and ensure compliance.
Technical, Operational and Organizational Environment. The technical environments could include but are not limited to:
·Dreamweaver,
·XHTML,
·HTML 5,
·PHP,
·CSS,
·Drupal,
·W3C,
·validators,
·Web Experimental Toolkit (WET),
·Adobe Experience Manager (AEM),
·Drupal,
·PHP,
·Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Pay rate is $23-25/hr
